Instant Gratification Society
My hard drive died just over 24 hours ago.
Today I brought my Macbook to the Apple store (twice, but that’s another story) and my hard drive got replaced, gratis, thanks to Apple Care (THANK YOU APPLE CARE).
And now, all of my data is back, from my Time Machine backups, and life continues as normal.
So. Weird.

This year, I am paying for my music. All of it.
I was accumulating so much crap and never giving the musicians their due. Those days are over. I’ve started with John Cale, Paris 1919 and his song “I Keep a Close Watch.” Next week I will buy the new Decemberists. I think this is going to work out, I really do.
