Hi everybody, my name is Monika Evstatieva and I am the director of All Things Considered. That simply means I get to conduct the live broadcast from the control room and also pick all the music you hear on the program during All Things Considered.
I select roughly 30 music pieces every day that we call collectively bumper music. Every day I try to match the mood of the stories, making the music a seamless part of the program. It is a tricky business, because I don’t want to make you overly sad, even when our reports are a bit gloomy. Most of the time, I try to make you smile, play a little joke or make you groove.
"The Director’s Cut" is a playlist of songs I am particularly fond of…and I want you to have a chance to hear them for more than 10 seconds at a time. So…Enjoy.
i love how we all lose our minds about time twice a year.
eventhough we know it happens, we still bitch about it everytime.
you know why, cause daylight saving sucks!
I wasn’t going to complain about this, but I was just used to the amount of sunlight in the AM, now it’s dark again, and it was still light out last night when I felt like going to bed. Ughhhh
